THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR SUPPORT!

How can I help?

Thats a great question! Through a variety of ways we are seeking financial support to raise the $1.625 million needed to purchase this facility and get going on this massive undertaking. We are looking forward to partnering with businesses and individuals that are interesting in donating to this project. We are a 501c3 non-profit organization and all donations are tax deductible. If needed, over the next few months we will be setting up a variety of fund raising events and programs. We would humbly ask you to consider donating to this worthy cause and helping us to help our "extraordinary friends in transition".

The Facility:

This facility is located at 371-397 Bay Street, ( Master Builders Church / East Gate Christian Academy ) At this very moment the building houses a church, adult day care center, video studio, warehouse space, and a full christian school. The church and the school will be moved into their new facility by September of 2020 thus opening the door for our programs to be able to walk right in and begin. The facility is "turn key" for the programs that we are looking to begin.

The Details:

Solomons Porch has been involved with working with the homeless community in the city of Fall River, MA since 2013. We feel that over the years our role has been to support the agencies that have been working on this tough situation by assisting with different programs that have already been in existence. In 2014 we took a more active role when we took over the Overflow shelter that was housed in various Churches throughout the city. We have built a strong foundation of volunteers that have done a wonderful job of serving these individuals well! Throughout this time we have developed what we feel is a vital piece that has either been missing, or has been difficult to navigate in our city. The Timao Center will be a "one stop shop" for supportive services for people who are stuck in tough circumstances and are seeking to transition their life off of the streets. We will run programs that we believe will help teach and mentor people through their circumstances. We will also partner with other agencies that are already in the area working to solve these issues. We will also partner with the city to continue to run the Emergency Overflow Shelter and the Emergency Warming Center through our winter season.

In 2020 we are believing to open - The Timao Center at Solomons Porch
